CSSD is seeking an experienced and energetic development professional who will work with us on a part-time consulting basis to identify, develop and cultivate relationships with prospective and current donors. This position will participate in initiating and developing major gift prospects. Demonstrated experience in working with foundations focused on complex environmental and/or challenging civil society issues is highly desirable.
Necessary skills include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, problem solving and good judgment. In addition, s/he should possess demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking and ability to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion. We will be looking for excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships in local and national foundation communities. Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience, coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Development, Marketing, or related field.
